Uh oh, there's been some "fowl play" and we've lost our ducks!
As you may know, ducks are important to Pima's First Year Experience program. What does it mean to be a D.U.C.K.?
- Ducks fly together! You're not alone when you use Pima's resources and personnel for support.
- Unruffled and calm on the surface while paddling furiously "under the water" to arrive at your goal.
- Continue swimming when you encounter waves, let those troubles roll off your back, and #KeepStriving.
- Keep your ducks in a row and stay organized.
Help us find these lost ducks during this year's #PimaDuckHunt25 the week of April 7-11. (This is a rain or shine event.)
Hunt for the ducks Monday, April 7 - Thursday, April 10 at East campus and the @PimaFYE Instagram page.
Winners will be announced and participants recognized on Friday, April 11 through the @PimaFYE Instagram page.
- The lost ducks seem to be hiding in public spaces (no classrooms or areas that are private, inaccessible, restricted or under construction.)
- This is a rain or shine event! Ducks hiding outside will be in protective ziploc bags.
- They will be uniquely decorated to represent where they come from.
- Each duck will have a "return me" tag around its neck, so when you find one please return it to its home department on-campus and you'll receive a reward prize package.
- For pictures and clues about where they are hidden, visit the @PimaFYE Instagram page
- Limit 1 lost duck per student. If you find additional ducks, leave them in their hiding spots for someone else to find and win a prize.
- Some of our webbed-footed friends also got lost on the interwebs.
- During Duck Hunt week, there will be virtual puzzles shared in the stories of the @PimaFYE Instagram page with bitly links to test your knowledge about East campus scenes and confirm how many virtual ducks you found.
- The first person to guess the correct number of ducks hidden in each virtual puzzle will win a reward prize package, which we will mail you.
- Winners will be announced on Friday, April 11 via Instagram and Pima student email.
What is the reward for each duck found on-campus or online?
A prize package (Sneak Peak Here) including:
- First Year Experience and Student Life swag (hats, stickers, notebooks, pen & pencil, lanyards, chargers, desk kit, and drawstring bag)
- Duck-themed goodies (bookmark, book light, keychain, and trophy)
- Other fun items added by participating departments
